Plane identified ! I have just found on the 'Britannica' website that this is a Handley-Page Halifax Bomber. The website says
that it first flew in October 1939 and entered active service with Bomber Command in March 1941.

Photo is a detail taken from "Court no.6 Quay Street".

I think the picture shows the St Andrews Institute at the junction of Copenhagen Street and Quay Street.
